Tonight, I would like to adjourn in the memory of Diane Bergstrom, a dedicated supporter of our local Western music scene.
Born and raised in Southern California, Diane graduated from Sylmar Senior School.
She married her husband, John, in 2002, having relocated to Santa Clarita.
Through her suggestion, the couple attended a concert in Stevenson Ranch, where John met a few people from the International Western Music Association.
Through those contacts, and Diane’s support, John began recording new music.
Together, they were able to build John’s career, performing at many local spots around town – including being a regular at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival.
Her love and dedication to her community is evident.
Not only did she work to bring Santa Clarita’s Western roots to the forefront, she was also an avid supporter of the Assistance League Santa Clarita, where she donated her time and money to support those around her.
We are deeply saddened by her passing and our hearts are with her husband, John, daughter Jennifer and stepson Dustin.
