Sheila Miller

Tonight, I would like to adjourn in memory of Sheila Miller – a dedicated member of the Friends of Hart Park nonprofit.

Sheila was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley where she developed a lifelong love of community and giving back through services.

After marrying her husband in 1967, she built a beautiful life and raised her family, living in Mission Hills for more than five decades.

Sheila was devoted to her children, and later her grandchildren, creating a home that was welcoming and full of life.

She also enjoyed a long career with Verizon, where she worked for 20 years before retiring.

Sheila was a true fan of Western culture, which made her connection to Hart Park especially meaningful.

As a member of the Friends of Hart Park, she shared her energy, creativity and passion for history.

She took great pride in helping to preserve and celebrate one of our community’s most beloved spaces.

Whether volunteering onsite or proudly participating in the annual Fourth of July Parade, Sheila gave her time generously.

Sheila will be greatly missed and our thoughts and prayers are with her friends, family and colleagues during this difficult time.
