Dale Gerstel

Tonight, it is with profound sadness that we adjourn the meeting in memory of Dale Gerstel, a cherished member of the Santa Clarita community.

Dale was the co-founder, alongside his wife and best friend Suzon, of Prayer Angels for the Military, Inc., a beloved nonprofit organization based in Newhall that has supported our troops and veterans for more than 20 years.

As the CFO of Prayer Angels and a proud Blue Star Dad, Dale dedicated himself to serving others.

Together, Dale and Suzon hosted more than 100 community events and shipped over 200,000 care packages to servicemen and women around the world, each filled with love and appreciation from our community.

Dale was a man who lived his life with purpose, driven by acts of kindness and selflessness.

Whether he was working tirelessly to support our troops or visiting with veterans at the Veterans Historical Plaza in his old, black Bronco, Dale’s compassion and generosity shined brightly.

He took the time to learn veterans’ names, listen to their stories and share a small gift of appreciation and a prayer, a simple, but meaningful gesture that reflected his genuine care for others.

Dale’s big heart and larger-than-life personality endeared him to all who knew him.

He was a devoted husband, a proud father of three sons and a beloved friend and neighbor who could always be counted on to brighten your day with a smile.

We are deeply saddened by his passing and our hearts are with his wife Suzon and three sons.

May his remarkable life of service and love continue to guide us in our efforts to care for one another.
