It is with profound sadness that we adjourn tonight’s meeting in memory of Grace Elliott, a dedicated local volunteer and a former Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Reserve Commander.
Grace’s first passion was jewelry designing, owning a jewelry store in the San Fernando Valley – while also serving in the Sheriff’s Department for 22 years.
Grace, and her husband Jack, came to Santa Clarita back in 2001 – and immersed themselves in the community by volunteering for several local non-profits.
Their volunteer activities include thousands of hours volunteering for the Santa Clarita Elks and Moose Lodge, our local American Legion and The Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center, where they were one of the founders of the annual “Touch A Truck,” fundraiser.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Grace’s husband Jack and her loved ones during this tough time.
