Dr. Lester A. Tanner

Tonight, I would like to adjourn in memory of Dr. Lester A. Tanner—a remarkable man who radiated positivity and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Known as “Les” to family and friends, he dedicated his life to education, serving as a principal in the Newhall School District from 1963 to 1988.

During his tenure as principal, Les offered encouragement to students and support to his colleagues, always bringing warmth and positivity wherever he went.

He is survived by the love of his life, Millie.

Together, they recently celebrated their 75th anniversary.

He also leaves behind three children, six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to education, his generous spirit and the joy he brought into the lives of others.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
