Tonight, I would like to adjourn in memory of a longtime resident and someone close to my heart, Norman Jay Skinner.
Jay was a beloved community member, husband, father and grandfather.
Married to the love of his life Julie Skinner in 1976, Jay went on to be a successful project manager, helping build homes and developing communities across California, including right here in Santa Clarita.
Jay worked for Tri Pointe and Pardee Homes, not only helping build the community he lived in but also the community where he raised his family.
A proud father to Matt, Andrew and Katie, Jay was devoted to his family and always enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Jay belonged to the Heart of the Canyons Church and was very active in his son’s local nonprofit, the Triumph Foundation.
Remembered as a man who worked hard and cherished his family, we send our thoughts and prayers to his wife Julie, his children and his grandchildren during this difficult time.
