I would also like to adjourn in memory of Rob McFerren, a Santa Clarita resident and local business owner who recently passed away at the age of 64 after a battle with kidney cancer.
Rob is known to many in the community as co-owner of Wolf Creek Brewery, which he co-founded with his wife, Laina, nearly 24 years ago.
Laina has described Rob as someone who was “quietly hilarious” who loved his family and helping those around them achieve their goals.
Rob and Laina were married for more than 30 years and have two daughters – though Laina also notes Rob “unofficially” adopted many others as his children over the years.
Since founding Wolf Creek, both the brewery and restaurant have become Santa Clarita staples and have also earned a high reputation among craft beer brewers and drinkers throughout the region and beyond.
Along the way, Rob was not just focused on growing a successful business.
Wolf Creek also often hosts fundraisers, sponsors organizations and donates products to help support the local community.
It is a testament to Rob’s personality and passion for helping others that Laina and the family are asking for donations to be made to Bridge to Home and the Child and Family Center.
We join Laina and the entire McFerren family in mourning the loss of Rob and our hearts go out to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
