I would like to take time now to adjourn tonight’s meeting in memory of Pamela Koch, a longtime resident and dedicated volunteer, who gave so much of her time and energy to preserving the beauty of our community.
Pam was known for her service to a number of initiatives over the years, particularly for her tireless commitment and work with the Placerita Nature Center.
She served on the organization’s board and represented the center on the board of the Nature Center Associates of Los Angeles County.
She was instrumental in organizing events at the Placerita Nature Center, including the Open House and Craft Fair.
Pam also spent her time there caring for the animals, organizing docent trips and sharing her love of nature with classes of students who visited the Center on field trips.
For her dedication to the Placerita Nature Center, she was named the organization’s Docent of the Year in 2012 and is also a past nominee for the Santa Clarita Woman of the Year award.
Not only was she known for the projects she was involved in, she will also be remembered for her passion, determination and unique sense of humor.
We will all miss her terribly.
Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with Pam’s family and friends during this difficult time.
