I would like to adjourn tonight in memory of Master Sergeant James Henry Robinson, who was a beloved member of the Santa Clarita community.
Jim was born on July 27, 1950 in Hamilton, Ohio.
He was a longtime resident of Canyon Country, living here from 1989 until 2016 when he moved to Boise, Idaho.
On December 9, 1972, Jim married his lovely wife Patricia.
He attended the University of Phoenix while working at Northrup Grumman and received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 2005.
While living in Canyon Country, Jim served as president of the Santa Clarita Mobile Home Owners Association and was instrumental in creating both the Mobile Home Rent Stabilization Law and the Mobile Home Owners Relocation Law.
He also served as a member of the Castaic Lake Water Board.
Jim was a member of the Canyon Theatre Guild for more than two decades, and played a strong role in bringing live theatre to Santa Clarita.
In addition to serving on the Canyon Theatre Guild’s Board of Directors, he was one of their top set designers and worked on hundreds of sets over the years.
Put beautifully by his Canyon Theatre Guild family, “God blessed us with Jim’s entrance upon our life’s stage, and we are saddened by his exit.”
Jim is survived by his wife Patricia, children Jack and LaBrenda, grandson James and sister Beverly Clontz.
We are saddened by the passing of Jim Robinson and our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
