I’d like to now take a few minutes to adjourn in memory of Janet Olmos, a longtime Santa Clarita resident who passed away on July 27th following a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
Janet was born in 1955 in Greenville, Alabama to Robert and Fay Salter. She spent much of her life in Selma, Alabama, until she moved to California in 1985.
Janet and her three children, Tom, Beth and Stacey, lived in Newhall while she worked in the banking and real estate industries. She was in banking for more than 40 years and in fact was working as a bank teller and at Century 21 Real Estate when she first met Felix Olmos, who she married in 1991.
Together, the two built a wonderful life in Valencia for their children and six grandchildren.
Our thoughts are with Janet’s husband Felix, her mother Faye, her brother Bobby, her half-sister Susan, her children Tom, Beth and Stacey, grandchildren Amy, Autumn, Angelina, Thomas, Kyle and Keira, family and friends during this difficult time. She will be missed very much by all.
