Eileen Blanchard passed away on January 25 after blessing the world for 89 years. She loved Jesus and would want you to know that she is at peace with Him now.
For 19 years she raised her son and daughter on her own without benefits from the government.
At church she met her life’s love, Merle. They married and had about 38 years together.
Eileen has received many honorariums, awards, certificates and other meritorious accolades for her service to the community.
She attended the 1963 National Federation Republican Women’s convention after a personal invitation from the group’s National Treasurer.
Above all else, Eileen’s first love was her family. She treasured opportunities to be involved with children’s activities.
Later in life she was very active as a Placerita Canyon Nature Center docent, where she received an award in 2012 honoring her for 20 years of service.
Eileen taught Sunday school at her church for many years and was active in the Care Circle Ministry there.
She is survived by two children.
