Genevieve Margaret Marincola, 94, of Canyon Country, passed away on August 15th after a short illness.
Genevieve was born on June 30th, 1919, in Watertown, New York. At the age of 16, in 1935, she met her future husband, Tony, at her Godfather’s Italian restaurant. In June of 1940, Genevieve and Tony married. While Tony served in World War II, Genevieve did her part as a “Rosie the Riveter.”
She was a devout Catholic, and an original member of St. Clare’s Parish in Canyon Country.
Genevieve enjoyed many, many years of retirement and being a housewife before falling ill. She will be remembered for her love for children and family, her generous spirit, and her fabulous Italian cooking.
Genevieve will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Anthony Marincola;

2 grandsons, Gary Scott and Bradley Bergman;
2 granddaughters, Terri Shelden and Lauren (Marc) Donatz; and
2 great grandsons, R.J. and Joshua Shelden.
