We adjourn tonight’s meeting in memory of William Kenneth “Bill” Vibe, founder of Branded Heart Fellowship, talented keyboardist, smart businessman and a caring citizen of Santa Clarita Valley.
Bill was born in Bakersfield and married his high school sweetheart Teresa Ann Swain. Shortly thereafter, the two moved to Sacramento where Bill received his Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing.
He was a man of many talents and passions. Bill and Teresa returned to Bakersfield to run a grocery store and operate a flight school and charter company. Bill was also a professional keyboardist who performed across the country. The two eventually moved to Santa Clarita Valley to open up a travel agency.
But Bill’s real passion came when he felt the call to minister God’s word. Bill went on to earn his Master of Ministry from Southern California Theological Seminary in 1989. He pursued his passion of helping struggling churches learn to grow as an intentional interim pastor.
In September 2014, he achieved his dream of having his own flock and founded Branded Heart Fellowship in Bakersfield.
Bill passed away in his home at the age of 71 on August 24 after a courageous two and a half year battle with cancer.
We will always be appreciative of Bill’s services to the Santa Clarita Valley community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they mourn their loss. He will be greatly missed by all.
