Tonight, our thoughts and prayers are with Barbara Powell, who recently lost her husband, Dennis.
Dennis was a true hero with an amazing story.
He was a Spitfire pilot for the Royal Air Force during World War II. He was awarded the distinguished Flying Cross for his service.
Dennis came to Santa Clarita later in life, and met his wife Barbara.
They were married and moved to Canyon Country. It was there that they spent their happily married life, with their sheepdog, Prince.
We know Barbara is surrounded by family and loved ones at this time. We want her to know, her City family is with her in spirit and support, too.
